Los Angeles Dodgers (11-6) versus Colorado Rockies (3-12)

LOS ANGELES — After dropping their third straight series in a row, the Los Angeles Dodgers will look to correct course as they welcome their National League West rival, the Colorado Rockies, for the final three games of their six-game homestand.

After starting out the season 8-0 the Dodgers have only three wins over their last nine games including series losses to the Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Nationals and most recently the Chicago Cubs.

Everything has seemingly gone cold for the Dodgers, with their offense only scoring five runs over the weekend, including a 16-0 shutout loss on Saturday. The defense was a massive issue in Washington which could be blamed for the cold East Coast weather. The baserunning was abysmal in Philly and the difference maker in their Game One loss that series.

On a positive note they’ll welcome a struggling Rockies team that has only won three of their fifteen games this season and are coming off a series sweep courtesy of the San Diego Padres who didn’t allow the Rockies to score a single run the entire series, capped off by a complete game shutout by Michael King.

Who’s in & who’s out?

Not much has changed on the injury front for the Dodgers prior to the start of this series. The first significant activation on this six-game homestand was the activation of all-star first baseman Freddie Freeman.

Freeman, 35, was limited to a pinch-hit role in yesterday’s 4-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs as the Dodgers did not want to have Freeman play six straight games off the injured list. Freeman is expected to play all three games against the Rockies.

For Wednesday’s game, the Dodgers will need another spot starter. Lefty Blake Snell, who was placed on the 15-day Injured List during last week’s road trip with shoulder inflammation, will not be available, pushing Japanese starters Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki to one start per week.

The Dodgers will be unable to recall young lefty Justin Wrobleski from Triple-A OKC after his demotion back to the minors last Wednesday. He’ll need to remain there for fifteen days unless recalled due to injury.

That leaves righty Bobby Miller, who Dodgers manager Dave Roberts hinted would be in line for the start, making his 2025 season debut.

Miller, 26, has a 2.25 ERA in 12.0 innings pitched this season but has struggled with his command, issuing eleven walks while only striking out eleven hitters.

The Rockies will be without utilityman Tyler Freeman after he was placed on the 10-day Injured List with a left oblique strain with no set timetable for a return.

Center fielder Brenton Doyle is also considered day-to-day due to left quad soreness and did not start any of the three games against the San Diego Padres over the weekend. If he does not return for the Dodgers series, he could consider an IL stint.

10-day Injured List (2): Thairo Estrada, Tyler Freeman

15-day Injured List (4): Jeff Criswell, Austin Gomber
