The Los Angeles Dodgers continue their six-game road trip to New York with a three-game date with the struggling New York Mets.
However, the Dodgers are currently facing a significant challenge, having been swept by the Cincinnati Reds and now on a five-game losing streak. This is their longest losing streak since the 2019 season, marking a crucial point in their current performance.
Over their last fifteen games, the Dodgers are 7-8 and have struggled to hit with RISP yet again. The pitching has kept the team in games but also struggled against the Reds offense, which ranks bottom third in the league overall.
The Mets, on the other hand, are also in a rut, perhaps even in a more precarious position than the Dodgers, with a 10-20 record over their last thirty games. This is the second clash between the two teams this season.
The Mets took two of three at Chavez Ravine in April, but it would be interesting to see how each team tries to bounce back off a week of mediocre baseball.

Who’s in & who’s out?
The Los Angeles Dodgers are still the same on the injury front as they were in the Reds series. However, Bobby Miller and Evan Phillips pitched in a Sunday rehab assignment.
While the Dodgers will continue to be without Joe Kelly, Brusdar Graterol, Kyle Hurt, Ryan Brasier, and Max Muncy as they all continue to rehab and progress toward their return.
The New York Mets are relatively healthy, with young catcher Francisco Alvarez, the only major player on the 10-day IL, tearing a ligament on his thumb in the April series against the Dodgers.
The Mets are also set to activate David Peterson from the IL for this series, who was recovering from left hip surgery this past offseason.
Peterson underwent surgery on November 6th to repair a torn labrum in his left hip, an injury that had been bothering him for years. He has since made steady progress, producing a 1.14 ERA with 35 strikeouts and three walks over 23 2/3 innings on a Minor League rehab assignment. Peterson will make his big league debut on May 29 against the Dodgers.
