Los Angeles Dodgers (5-0) Versus Atlanta Braves (0-4)
LOS ANGELES— Fresh off their three-game series sweep over the Detroit Tigers for their home opening series of the 2025 Major League Baseball regulars season, the Los Angeles Dodgers look to keep their undefeated streak alive as they welcome the Atlanta Braves to Chavez Ravine.
The Dodgers are off to their best start to a regular season since 1981, a perfect 5-0 after back-to-back sweeps of the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo, Japan, and the Tigers at Dodger Stadium.
However, before going on the team’s first domestic road trip in Philadelphia and Washington D.C. this upcoming weekend, they’ll close out their homestand against an Atlanta Braves team fresh off a series loss to the Dodgers National League West rival, the San Diego Padres.
The upcoming series is significant for two arms in the Dodgers’ starting rotation: right-handed pitchers Tyler Glasnow and Dustin May, who will return and debut.
Glasnow, 31, had a career year in Los Angeles last season but had his season cut short due to elbow tendonitis. It’ll be Glasnow’s first appearance in a regular season game since August 11th.
May, 27, will be making his return after missing nearly the last two years with various injuries to his arm and esophagus. After a great spring and an injury to Tony Gonsolin, May won the fifth spot in the Dodgers starting rotation. It’ll be May’s first appearance in a regular season game since May 17th, 2023.

Who’s in & who’s out?
The Los Angeles Dodgers are very much the same on the injury front as they were on their home opening series against the Detroit Tigers over the weekend.
All of the Dodgers players on the injured list are pitchers, but we did get some more progress on veteran lefty Clayton Kershaw, who faced hitters on Saturday, and two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani, who threw his first bullpen session since February 25th.
Right-handed starting pitchers Tony Gonsolin and Evan Phillips were also facing hitters at Dodger Stadium this weekend and should rejoin the team possibly in April.
The next step for Gonsolin would be either a minor league rehab assignment or a simulated game.
60-day Injured List (5): Clayton Kershaw, Brusdar Graterol, Michael Grove, Gavin Stone, River Ryan
15-day Injured List (6): Evan Phillips, Kyle Hurt, Michael Kopech, Tony Gonsolin, Emmet Sheehan, Edgardo Henriquez
Unlike last season (for now), the Atlanta Braves do not have any significant injuries plaguing them to start off the 2025 season.
The team is expecting both franchise cornerstones, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Spencer Strider, to return possibly in May this season, which should only bolster their odds.
However, after suffering a rib fracture during spring training, they will be without all-star catcher Sean Murphy for the first month of the regular season. The backstop is expected to start a minor league rehab assignment during the first week of April.
Right-handed pitcher Joe Jiménez was placed on the 15-day Injured List after having left knee surgery and could return by August, but there is a chance he’ll miss all of 2025 and could be on a 60-day Injured List candidate down the line.
10-day Injured List (3): Ronald Acuña Jr., Sean Murphy, Nacho Alvarez Jr.
15-day Injured List (2): Spencer Strider, Joe Jiménez
