CHAVEZ RAVINE, CA—The Los Angeles Dodgers look to get one win out of the three-game series against the Mets. The Dodgers bring in their ace, Tyler Glasnow, to put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Shohei Ohtani gets the scoring started by crushing his 176th HR of his career to put the Dodgers up 2-0 after three innings played. With his latest homerun, Ohtani moves past Hideki Matsui of most homeruns hit by a Japanese-born player in the MLB.
Catcher Will Smith was showing off his defense by throwing out Mets SS Francisco Lindor and CF Harrison Bader to keep the Dodgers up 2-0 in the fourth inning.
In the fifth inning, the Dodgers looked to break the game open. Rookie Andy Pages gets it started with a double down the third base line. Mookie Betts comes up to bat and rips a ball to center left field to score Pages.
Freddie Freeman scorches one to right field to get his 5th RBI in the last 24 hours. Freeman looks to be out the hitting slump he was in the past few games. After getting things started in the fifth, Pages comes back up and crushes his first MLB homerun to put the Dodgers up 10-0 scoring eight runs in the fifth inning.
Tyler Glasnow put on a dominate performance for Dodgers fans. Glasnow ended his start with eight scoreless innings 97P / 7H / 0ER / 10K / 2.92ERA. Glasnow is the first pitcher to go into the eight since Clayton Kershaw pitched eight innings six years ago.
Dodgers get there first shutout of the 2024 season with a win over the NY Mets 10-0. After losing three home game series, the Dodgers go on the road for a nine-game series with a new confidence and attitude.
