ANAHEIM, CA — The final tune-up game between your Los Angeles Dodgers and the Angels concluded tonight with Dustin May taking the mound and Code Red was absolutely nasty.

Unlike the first two games of the series, Will Smith put the Dodgers on the board first with a two-run blast to right center field scoring Max Muncy. Tommy Edman came up to bat and hit one into the left center field gap for what looked like a double to keep the inning going. Unfortunately, Edman did not touch first base and was thrown out to end the top of the second inning.

All the starters were done after five innings. Mookie Betts looked good in the field but went 0-3 with decent contact at the plate and stated he will be ready for opening day at Dodgers Stadium. Once he puts on some weight Mookie should be back to himself at the plate.

The kids came into the top of ninth and added two more runs to the score board. Joe Vetrano doubled on a sharp line drive to left field. Sean McLain singled on a line drive to right fielder Gustavo Campero. Wild pitch by pitcher Brady Choban that scored Joe Vetrano. Miguel Rojas hit a sacrifice fly to right fielder that scored Sean McLain.

The Los Angeles Dodgers next game will be this Thursday for their home opener against the Detroit Tigers. Blake Snell will take the mound for your 2024 World Series Champs and Dodger hitters will face Tarik Skubal. Game time starts at 4:10 PST and can be seen on ESPN.
