Dodgers Reportedly Sign Sergio Romo
The Dodgers have reportedly signed former San Francisco Giants reliever Sergio Romo. It was first reported yesterday by Ken Rosenthal that Romo was choosing between the Dodgers and one other team.

Tonight Jon Morosi tweeted out that the Dodgers and Romo had agreed on a contract.

Romo would fill the void if the Dodgers do not bring back reliever Joe Blanton. As of this writing there was still uncertainty if the contract had been finalized. Some reports speculate teams may still be bidding while other reports stating all that was needed was a physical to seal the deal.
Sergio Romo is a California native growing up in Brawley and was a Dodger fan growing up. He would often state when he was playing at Dodger stadium he could point to the seats where he would sit as a child. Romo is playing with Team Mexico in the Series del Caribe and was asked about the negotiations with the Dodgers and the possibility of playing for them.

In 2016 Romo appeared in 40 games for the Giants, recording four saves and pitching to a 2.64 ERA, 3.80 FIP and 1.08 WHIP. Romo did miss time during the first half with a flexor strain. Romo did play winter ball with the Charros de Jalisco and is currently playing for Team Mexico in the Series del Caribe.
In the last nine seasons with the Giants, Romo is 32-26 with 84 saves, a 2.58 ERA, 2.71 FIP and 0.95 WHIP in 439.2 innings pitched.
