Dodgers Rumors: Dodgers to Re-Sign Miguel Rojas
World Series hero Miguel Rojas is returning to the Dodgers one a 1-year deal

LOS ANGELES, CA—In what could’ve been a fabulous way to end his career after hitting a Game Seven game-tying home run in the 9th inning of the World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers and veteran utility infielder Miguel Rojas have reportedly agreed on a one-year contract for the 2026 season.
According to Daniel Álvarez-Montes of El Extrabase, the deal is for one year, $5.5 million, a slight bump from his $4 million salary last season after the team exercised its club option.
It’ll be Rojas’ fourth consecutive season in Los Angeles after being reacquired by the team during the 2023 offseason and a depth option before turning into a more everyday role in the wake of Gavin Lux’s leg injury in 2023 and Mookie Betts’ fractured wrist in 2024.
However, now entering his age-36 season, Rojas has made it clear that 2026 will be his last season, and once the offseason began, he made it apparent he wanted to return to the Dodgers.
Despite his age, Rojas was a key contributor for the Dodgers this season off the bench, hitting .262/.318/.397 with 18 doubles, seven home runs, and 57 RBIs in 114 games, all while filling in at shortstop, second base, and third base.
While the one-year deal will finish out Rojas’ playing career, Álvarez notes that the veteran infielder will remain with the Dodgers organization beyond the 2026 season, transitioning to a player development role.
Once the deal is made official, the Dodgers’ 40-man roster will be at 38 players, and with multiple key free agents remaining, expect to see a lot of roster movement within the organization as the annual Winter Meetings approach next week.
