Dodgers Rumors: First Possible Sight of Dodgers Gold Program Jersey Leaks Online

via @justin_a95 on X

While the Los Angeles Dodgers open the 2025 Major League Baseball regular season overseas in Tokyo, Japan, as the designated road team against the Chicago Cubs in the Tokyo Dome, they’ll have a new look when they return home for domestic Opening Day against the Detroit Tigers.

Introduced during the 2005 Major League Baseball regular season for the then-defending World Series champion Boston Red Sox, the team opted to wear a special jersey to commemorate the moment. Since then, every World Series winner, except the Chicago White Sox (2006), Red Sox (2008), and New York Yankees (2009), has followed suit.

After the Dodgers won it all during the COVID-19, 60-game shortened season, they wore the highly anticipated gold jersey on their first homestand of the following season against the Washington Nationals.

So, after winning it all during the 2024 season, fans and I were wondering when we’d see the new gold-themed jerseys pop up, and now we have our first potential look.

In a post by X user (@justin_a95), he highlights what seems to be the upcoming 2025 Los Angeles Dodgers gold-themed jersey. To further prove the point, I confirmed with Justin that the photo was taken at an official Nike store.

For this iteration of the uniform, the Dodgers opted for more gold rather than the thin gold trim during the 2021 season.

Once the Dodgers return to the States after their two-game series in Tokyo, Japan, they’ll play three more exhibition games against the Los Angeles Angels before starting a three-game set with the Tigers.

Uncharacteristically, the Dodgers will have their World Series ring ceremony in Game Two of the series rather than Game One, which is when the team is expected to wear this uniform.

More details about the jersey should become public in the coming days, but for now, I’d say these look legit.
