This morning the Los Angeles Dodgers announced Oklahoma City Comets catcher Hunter Feduccia is being called up. Feduccia will be filling the open spot on the roster behind Freddie Freeman. Freeman was put on the 10-day IL yesterday.
Freeman slipped in the shower last Sunday and tweaked his surgically repaired ankle. X-rays show no damage for his fall, but the team thought it would be best to give him more time to heal.
Feduccia had a good 2025 spring training. He was solid behind the plate, and he showed he has been working on his hitting. The Comets are six games into their season and Fuduccia is off to a good start. Stats – 14AB / 6R / 5H / 4RBI / 1HR / .357AVG /.526OBP / .1.169OPS / .643SLG
The Dodgers will carry three catchers on this road trip with Feduccia getting called up. The question is how much playing time he will get and will this set him back on his good start to the season for OKC.
