Los Angeles Dodgers Host Back-to-school Resource Fair Presented by General Mills for Students in Los Angeles

Los Angeles – As students prepare to return to school, on Saturday, August 9, Dodger Stadium hosted the Back-to-School Resource Fair presented by General Mills. Students and families from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) came out to Dodger Stadium to receive items school supplies and pantry food items including fan-favorite cereals like Honey Nut Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, courtesy of General Mills. Vanessa Bryant and her daughter Natalia Bryant made a special appearance at the event, personally distributing Kobe sneakers on behalf of the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation to students and families. Additional shoes were also provided by AM 570 LA Sports. Complimentary dental screenings were available to all attendees through Dodgers sponsor partner, UCLA Health as well as over 100 free haircuts. Dodger alumni helped distribute giveaways and players Jack Dreyer and Alex Freeland came to greet and take photos with families.
“Back-to-school preparation is more than just buying supplies—it’s about setting the stage for confidence, curiosity, and connection,” said Kristin McCowan, Los Angeles Dodgers Vice President of Government and Community Affairs. “When children feel ready, they walk into the classroom not just equipped but empowered and the Dodgers are proud to be able to contribute to that through this event.”

Additional participating partners included Archer Meat Sticks, King’s Hawaiian, Coca Cola, and PRIME provided additional resources in support of this initiative. Families went home with lunch courtesy of new Dodgers partner Fresh Brothers.
