Carl Crawford reached base in his first four plate appearances and finished the night 3-for-4 with a walk and an RBI. After picking up two hits on Opening Day, Crawford is batting .556 on the young season.
J.P. Howell made his Dodger debut and struck out one while retiring the Giants in order in both the seventh and eighth innings.
Luis Cruz went 0-for-4 to remain hitless on the season, but did drive in his first run of the campaign with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning.
Los Angeles went just 1-for-14 with runners in scoring position and left 12 on base as it lost for the second consecutive game.

The Giants won for the second consecutive night and earned a 2-1 series victory, defeating the Dodgers 5-3.
Tim Lincecum tied a career high with seven walks (also: Sept. 7, 2012 vs. LA), but did not allow an earned run (two unearned) in 5.0 innings to pick up the win. Lincecum allowed just three hits and including tonight, has posted a 1.99 ERA (14 ER/63.1 IP) in his last 10 starts against the Dodgers since the start of the 2011 season. Lincecum helped his own cause with the bat and knocked in a run with an RBI groundout in the fourth.
Pablo Sandoval gave the Giants a 4-1 lead in the third inning by crushing a line drive two-run homer that bounced off the top of the wall and into the Right Field Pavilion.
Hunter Pence lined a home run to right-center field in the sixth inning, his first of the season. Pence batted just .150 (9-for-60) in 16 combined games against the Dodgers last season.
Nick Noonan made his Major League debut as a pinch-hitter in the ninth inning and was retired on a ground ball to the second baseman.
