Dodgers News: Lamb shipped to Seattle

LOS ANGELES — Not in love with this move, which is basically the other shoe of the Joey Gallo acquisition. IF/OF Jake Lamb, who resurrected his career in LA, was traded to the Seattle Mariners for the proverbial “cash considerations.”

Lamb spent most of his time in OKC this year, but he produced well all year, no matter where he was. His OPS was .771 with the big club this year over 67 at-bats.

With Chris Taylor returning and Gallo added to the roster, there were just too many bodies in the outfield.

Lamb was an All-Star in 2017 with the D-backs. He’ll be part of a Seattle team that is pushing for its first playoff birth in the last 20 years. And, he’ll be playing with his hometown team. Lamb grew up in Seattle and went to the University of Washington. He is “of” Seattle, no doubt growing up with a Ken Griffey, Jr. poster on his wall.

Godspeed, Jake. Good luck in Seattle!

Lamb got back on track with LA…
