When You Knew It Was Game Over!

I was at ESPN Zone in Anaheim over the weekend. As I was walking around I looked up and saw this ESPN magazine cover featuring Eric Gagne. If you were a Dodger fan back in the day, you knew in that time from 2002 – 04 when Gagne came in it was Game Over! Dodger stadium was electric and everyone was standing when “Welcome to the Jungle” came on. At that time, at that moment no one knew what was going on. At that moment you just knew that Gagne was coming in and it was time to go home. If the score was 2-1 you knew it was still over, nothing to worry about. The Dodgers have definitely missed this type of closer since then. All issues aside it was nice to reminisce about Game Over!
