Dodgers Drop 2nd Game of Series to Cubs

Sometimes it’s a bad call; other times it’s an off-target pitch, but in the Dodgers loss to the Cubs Tuesday night, the one moment that rippled throughout the remainder of the game was Yasiel Puig’s fielding error in the sixth.

After Puig’s misread, the wheels fell off as the Cubs scored six runs in the inning, four of them off a Javier Baez grand slam.

Puig didn’t mince words regarding the misread following the game:

“I kind of lost it in the light and it’s why we lost the game.”

The Dodgers lost 9-4.

Although Dodger’s manager Dave Roberts said he didn’t think starter Ross Stripling looked as sharp as usual, Stripling pitched into the sixth with the score still 2-1 in the Dodgers favor. He gave up the one run on a solo shot, also from Baez.

Alex Wood faces Kyle Hendricks tonight in the 3rd game of the series matchup. Game time is 7:10 pm, PST.
