Dodgers News: Trevor Bauer’s cyclops impersonation is too much for the Padres.

We already knew Trevor Bauer is a good pitcher… like really, really good. Which is why the Los Angeles Dodgers will be paying him 120 million over the next 3 years. We also know that he likes to talk trash… a lot.

Exhibit A: the custom-made cleats that poked fun at the Astros
Exhibit B: recorded and released diss track against ex-teammate

You get the idea.

On Saturday, Bauer didn’t miss a “trolling” beat, first sending a tweet asking if Manny would be in the line up:

Then, doubles down on his trolling by pitching with his right eye closed on Saturday as he faced the San Diego Padres.

After the game, the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner gave his explanation on why he pitched with one eye.

I figured if they can’t score off me with one eye open; it’s going to be difficult to score off of me with two eyes open… just having a little bit of fun.

Bauer also expressed disappointment that a certain member of the Padres was not in the line up:

I’m just mad that Manny (Machado) didn’t make the trip you know, he’s already ducking me… I just wanted to face Manny, I wanted to see him… I’m mad he’s ducking me.

Unfortunately, the Dodgers will be on the road this season on “International Talk Like a Pirate Day”. They are scheduled to face Bauer’s former team the Reds Sunday September 19th but I’m sure the Dodgers marketing team (wink wink) will come up with a nice pirate patch giveaway sometime this season to commemorate Trevor’s trolling of the Padres on Saturday… maybe.
