Jessica Kleinschmidt from NBC Sports tweeted this from a question she asked Bob Melvin (manager of the Oakland Athletics).

The Dodgers haven’t enjoyed their World Series rings or even a home game with it’s fans but controversy has found a way to make an appearance, more to come as this story develops.

We knew it was coming when ESPN writer Jeff Passan (among other members in the media) reported MLB’s plan to crack down on foreign substances.

It appears that on Wednesday in Oakland, Dodgers starting pitcher Trevor Bauer was subject to random testing as the umpire removed a baseball from the field.

If indeed the ball was taken out for inspection do you think it was luck of the draw for Bauer or could the league be coming after the newest Dodger for his take on the league memo outlining the plans.
