Your Recap Writer is Back!

Hey loyal DodgersBeat readers – after a quick vacation that included a trip to Seattle to see our Boys in Blue, I’m back! I had the pleasure of running into the one and only Chase Utley in Pike’s Market Saturday afternoon before the game against the Mariners, walking around with none other than his adopted son: Kikè! Mr. Utley was kind enough to take a photo with my kids and it’s something I know they’ll treasure for a lifetime.

Dodger Blue was well-represented all over Seattle this past weekend, and the L.A. fans may well have outnumbered the Mariners fans at Safeco Field. Friday night’s thrashing was something to behold, but I also had the displeasure of witnessing the only balk-off I’ve ever seen, live or otherwise.

I was on a southbound Amtrak for Sunday’s rout, but the Dodgers were well represented, both in Seattle and on the Portland-bound train. I’ll be back to recaps this week.
