Dodgers Farm Recap: OKC wins, and Tulsa almost pulled out a win.

Dodgers Double-A affiliate Tulsa Drillers lost their three-game series 1-3 to the Arkansas Avalanche. LHP Justin Wrobleski took the mound for the Drillers. Wrobleski, the number fifteen prospect for 2024, got his first loss and pitched a solid 5IP / 5H / 1ER / 6K / 1.80 for his Double-A debut.

Number one Prospect Dalton Rushing crushed a ball to center field for his second HR of the season to tie the game in the bottom of the third. Tulsa took the lead in the fifth inning with an Austin Gauthier single that scored Brendon Davis but couldn’t produce any runs after. In the bottom of the ninth, Gauthier singles on a line drive to left field to keep Tulsa alive. Rushing came up to the plate and took three balls before hitting a high fly ball to center field that was caught at the top of the fence, ending the game 4-3 Avalanche.

Dodgers Triple-A affiliate OKC traveled to Austin, TX, to try and take one win out of the six-game series. OKC dropped the first two games and was looking to get a win. 2B Jonathan Arauz gets on base by a fielding error, and DH Kody Hoese singles on a ground ball to left field to give OKC runners on first and second. SS Trey Sweeney hits a ground ball to center field to tie the game 1-1 in the third inning.

After CF Andy Pages hits a soft fly ball to right field to load the bases, RF Ryan Ward hits a sacrifice fly to score Sweeney and give OKC the lead 2-1 in the third inning. Starting pitcher Eduardo Salazar pitched a solid game and got his first win of the season. Salazar ended the night with 5.2 IP / 6H / 2ER / 2K / 2.87ERA.

In the fourth inning, CF Andy Pages continued his hot streak with a hard double to center field, scoring Arauz to give OKC a 3-1 lead. Pages is making a case to be brought up to the Dodgers in the near future. In ten games, Pages has 49 AB/ 15H / 2HR / 6RBI / .306AVG / .393OBP / .903OPS and 10-20 in his last five games.

RHR Ricky Vanasco came into the middle of the ninth to close out the game. Vanasco gave up a walk and struck out two to end the game, with OKC winning 4-2. OKC looks to even the series in tomorrow’s game four against Round Rock.
